Okay, I’ll admit…I was questioning my sanity when I agreed to donate my time and energy during one of the most busy times of year to photograph a classroom of kindergarteners for a auction project. I can barely find time to cook dinner right now (thank you crock pot!!) and I added in another huge project simply because I’m a sucker for stuff like this? What was I thinking? Well, it comes down to me being the sort of person who enjoys a challenge and seeing just how much I can squeeze into life! Combine that with a long-term favorite client and of course my answer is yes.
So off we went to go photograph! Me sitting on top of a six foot ladder (you know, exactly what they tell you not to do on the sticker at the top of the ladder) to photograph down at children laying on the floor while our many wonderful assistants moved, scooched and slid giggling kids around.
And the result? I love this piece. I love what we accomplished, I love that the parents love it, I love that it’s going to create mayhem at the school’s auction. Would I do it again? Absolutely. Would I do it again in the craziness of October portrait sessions? Oh knowing me, probably.
